Your instructor will walk you through the whole process — choosing your lamp style, picking your colours, placing the glass, finishing the grout. What you'll go home with is a handmade Turkish mosaic lamp that you made yourself. Every colour your choice. Every piece of glass placed by your hands. That's the part people always underestimate — how much they'll actually love what they made.

Here's what the session looks like from start to finish:

1. Choose your lamp style — candle holder, mini table lamp, tall table lamp, swan lamp, or moon lamp. Each one has a different look and feel, and your instructor can help you decide.
2. Pick your colour palette — warm ambers and reds, cool blues and greens, rich jewel tones, or a mix. You're in charge of every colour decision.
3. Place your glass and beads — using traditional Ottoman-inspired geometric and floral patterns, you place each coloured glass piece and mosaic bead onto the lamp frame by hand. This is the slow, meditative bit — and most people absolutely love it.
4. Grout and finish — we walk you through the finishing stage so everything looks clean, polished, and properly handmade.
5. Switch it on — the moment you light your lamp up for the first time and the colours bloom across the walls is something you won't forget in a hurry.

Everything. Genuinely, you don't need to bring a single thing except yourself.

The whole session runs for 2 to 2.5 hours, which is a lovely amount of time — long enough to really get into it, short enough that you won't be exhausted by the end. It's one of those rare activities where time genuinely flies.
